Terminals and Sleeves

A1

For a fast and reliable connection, Inarca terminals are available in a variety of options to accommodate the needs of the automotive industry, consumers and industrial applications.

Terminals and Sleeves

Straight receptacles

A prerequisite for a good connection is that the male tab complies with certain technical and dimensional characteristics (for 0.4 and 0.8 thickness in accordance with DIN 64244); if these conditions are not met, this could from an electrical perspective lead to poor performance with regard to current flow (resulting in a rise in temperature on the connections) and, from a mechanical perspective, objective coupling difficulties.

6.3 mm range: this is the most popular product range in various industrial sectors thanks to its low cost and considerable versatility of use.

4.8 mm range: the use of these terminals is limited to applications which do not permit the use of the 6.3 mm due to size restrictions.

2.8 mm range: ideally used in electronics, radio communication and entryphone systems. A particular version of this range of terminals was built
to meet the demands of telephone industries where particular technical specifications apply.

Flag type receptacles

The prerogative of these products, which have electrical characteristics similar to those of straight receptacles, lies in the particularly small footprint; they are used where straight receptacles cannot be used and in applications where a wire output at a right angle to the connection is more practical. There are two versions of this terminal for the 6.3 range, one with an F-crimp and the other with a rolled crimp – which meets the needs for an even smaller footprint. Receptacles for the 2.8 and 4.8 ranges are also available for the latter version.

Open barrel crimping terminals

They cover a comprehensive range of wire cross sections in the 6.3 – 4.8 – 2.8 ranges. One version of the 6.3 mm range has been designed for crimping on steel pins.

Male tabs

They are used in the standard versions (6.3 – 4.8 – 2.8 mm) in all industrial sectors. This widespread use has made it possible to develop tabs for a wide variety of uses:

  • soldering on steel pins of armoured electrical resistors;
  • with screw fixing holes;
  • with special shapes to meet specific requests.

Terminals with locking lance for multiple connections

Compared to standard lamellar connection terminals, their main variant is the presence of a locking lance which allows secure locking once inserted into the insulating blocks. Mainly used in the household appliance and automotive sectors, they are a valid solution in any application requiring reliable multiple and insulated connections.

This line of terminals is available in the following versions: 6.3 – 4.8 – 2.8.

The multiple connector blocks are built for the 6.3 range in versions with 1-2-3-4-6-8 ways.

Connectors

These are made with self-extinguishing materials in accordance with UL 94 V-2 e V-0 (self-extinguishing plastic materials that pass the GWT 750°C no flame glow wire test are also available). The connectors specified are NATURAL coloured. Connectors in any RAL colour can be supplied upon request.
